intention in every step
nothing about this shirt is rushed. we brew a chicory root tea bath, simmer each shirt in it, and let it rest in the dye overnight. then it dries for a day before the design is ever printed. both the design and the patches are solar printed, which means they depend on sunlight, patience, and timing. then we hand cut each patch and sew it on, one arm at a time. in all, each shirt takes about 40 hours of hands-on work across 5-7 days. we make them this way on purpose, because a ritual shouldn’t be rushed.

each shirt is dyed and finished by hand in small batches in South Florida. natural dye means no two are exactly alike, and slight variation in color is part of the piece.

does Four Sons contain tobacco?
no. Four Sons contains zero tobacco leaf. the blend is built from eight herbs — blue lotus, skull cap, damiana, motherwort, mullein, lobelia, lemon balm, and mugwort — with nothing else added. we list every ingredient so you always know exactly what you're smoking.
is it safe to smoke around pets, especially cats?
we recommend keeping cats out of the room when using Four Sons. one of the botanicals in the blend, Mugwort (an Artemisia species), can be toxic to cats — cats metabolize many plant compounds very differently than humans or dogs, and are especially sensitive to smoke and volatile plant oils in general.
to be safe: don't smoke around your cat, don't let them near ash or unburned herb, and keep the product itself stored somewhere they can't get into it.
